We need a conservative fighter in our State House.
Meet Brandy Tarleton
Brandy Tarleton grew up in Upstate South Carolina, as the result of an unwed teen pregnancy. Brandy was raised in a loving, conservative Christian family where her grandparents and great-grandmother had a large part in her upbringing. Brandy’s mother never received aid from the government, and growing up, she was taught the value of hard work and the importance of forging your own destiny. This is the philosophy that shaped the outlook of Brandy’s life. Today, Brandy works as an Account Manager for a locally owned chemical manufacturing plant.
After moving to Easley in 2010, Brandy fell in love with the small-town feel and welcoming nature of the people of this community. She married Jonathan in 2011 and 15 years later they are the proud parents of two sons, Maximus and Theodore.
As a family they attend 5 Point Church, and the boys go to McKissick Academy of Science & Technology through school choice. They enjoy their community and especially the outdoors. On a long weekend, you will find them hiking or camping in the beautiful nature of Upstate South Carolina. Brandy has taken an active role in civic life here in Easley. She regularly attends a variety of board and council meetings as well as local precinct level and communal-lead meetings. Brandy's love of her community is what inspired her to start holding her own public meetings, hosting local candidates so that voters could get to know who was running to represent them.
Brandy is a lifelong advocate for South Carolina’s family values. She believes the most important decisions affecting our daily lives happen at the local level, where every voice matters. After witnessing the impact of COVID shutdowns on churches, small businesses, and families, Brandy committed herself to ensuring local government serves the people, not the other way around. She has spent years listening to neighbors, knocking on doors, and learning what matters most to the people of Easley. Brandy isn’t running to chase headlines, but to protect freedoms, strengthen families, and make sure our government remains accountable to the people it serves. Her mission is simple:
Reduce S.C.R.A.P. (Size, Cost, Reach and Power of Government).
For district 5, it’s about common-sense priorities: fixing our roads by ending wasteful spending, protecting life and religious liberty, giving parents real school choice, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and keeping government limited and accountable. These are practical solutions that strengthen families and communities.
